Preparing our land!?

Day 2
07/10/12: Volunteers Liz & Katie. Late arrivals Angharad, Osian, Keris & Ben

We arrived with new information. Rob, the allotment supervisor, had informed us that the council had mentioned that we had to start work on ALL our plots. We have taken on three separate plots and if you don't use them, you loose them.

Liz and I thought if we strimmed a strip along all our plots then that would keep the council happy. It wasn't until we had finished strimming the whole width of the plots that it suddenly dawned on me that it seemed we had strimmed four plots not three......eek, had we just spent a whole afternoon preparing someone elses plot!

Oh No!?!

This is the plot I suspected may actually belong to some lucky person, having already strimmed and removed the deep rooted weeds from about a third of their land!

Anyway, we didn't want to think to long on that one, so we decided to focus on the two middle plots - knowing that at least they must definitely belong to us!

.......and the cavalry had arrived!

The rest of the afternoon was spent starting to dig up the deep roots of the middle two plots

Team Day 2!
